8-SPEED DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION

The direct-injected 2.4-litre engine produces 206 horsepower and is equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (8DCT), which was the world’s first 8DCT paired with a torque converter. The result? Closely spaced ratios, ultra-quick shifts and seamless rev-matching downshifts.

9-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

The direct-injected 3.5-litre i-VTEC® V6 engine unleashes 290 horsepower and is mated to a class-exclusive 9-speed automatic transmission. This advanced performance is placed at the driver’s disposal with an electronic gear selector and a sleek centre console to minimize instrument panel clutter.

INTEGRATED DYNAMIC SYSTEM (IDS)

Acura’s Integrated Dynamic System (IDS) allows you to customize driver input through four selectable modes that adjust power-steering effort, throttle response, transmission shift logic, HVAC system operation and the control logic for either the Precision All-Wheel Steer™ or SH-AWD® systems. The Sport+ mode helps to unleash the full performance potential with the most aggressive settings.

PRECISION All-WHEEL STEER™

Two-wheel-drive TLX models come equipped with Acura Precision All-Wheel Steer™. This next-generation system was integrated into the fundamental chassis design from the earliest stages of development to take full advantage of its independent left and right rear-wheel toe angle control to help enhance handling precision, manoeuverability and stability.

SUPER HANDLING All-WHEEL DRIVE™ (SH-AWD®)

The lightweight SH-AWD® system in the TLX is engineered to deliver seamless power transitions and supreme control. It uses torque vectoring to add or subtract rotational momentum with a surgically precise nudge. The result is an all-wheel drive system that effortlessly expresses the will of the driver, whether out on the track, or simply turning onto your street.
