This available radar-based system is engineered to keep a set speed and a set interval from a vehicle detected directly in front of you, and is designed to even bring the TLX to a complete, full stop in traffic.
To help reduce the likelihood or severity of a frontal impact, the available CMBS§ is engineered to lightly brake and tug at your seat belt if you don’t slow down when it senses you’re at risk of a collision. If it still senses an imminent collision, CMBS is designed to tighten the belts further and brake more firmly.
The available LKAS§ is engineered to gently correct your steering when you begin to leave a detected lane without signaling, applying torque progressively to the steering to help guide you back to the centre of the lane.
The available Road Departure Mitigation system§ works with Lane Keeping Assist System and a monocular camera engineered to determine detectable lane boundaries. When the TLX’s current trajectory strays from a detected lane, the system is designed to trigger an audible alert and is engineered to assist by applying corrective steering input, and if required, breaking force to help maintain your current lane.
Using ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper, the available BSI§ system is designed to illuminate an indicator light to let you know a vehicle has been detected in your blind spot, and alerts you with an audible signal if you try to change lanes.
As the TLX is put in reverse, the multi-angle rearview camera§ provides a choice of three views, including top down and wide angles, to help you see where you’re going.
Using the blind spot information sensors designed to detect vehicles as the TLX is put in reverse, the available Cross Traffic Monitor system§ is engineered to sound a warning and display a visual warning on the rearview camera display if a vehicle is detected. Like having eyes on the back of your head, the system often detects vehicles before you can even see them as you reverse.
