Help Honda Canada make children's holiday wishes come true
Online giving program aims to raise $20,000 for Make-A-Wish® Canada
TORONTO, ON (December 15, 2014) – Today Honda Canada launched its first-ever, online holiday giving campaign that encourages Canadians to share in the joy of making wishes come true for children living with life-threatening medical conditions. The Donate with Honda Canada to Help Make a Difference campaign is set to raise up to $20,000 for Make-A-Wish® Canada through the generosity of its community of fans and followers.
During the period of December 12 to December 31, Canadians are encouraged to go online and make a donation to Make-A-Wish Canada. Monetary contributions totaling up to $10,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Honda Canada at the conclusion of the campaign. Honda will recognize all levels of generosity with rewards to donors ranging from posters to Toronto Blue Jays Home Opener tickets.
“Our longstanding partnership with Make-A-Wish has always been close to our hearts,” said Dave Gardner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada. “During the holiday season, we feel it’s especially important to bring a little joy to the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and we’re hopeful that the generosity of the Honda community will help make this possible.”
The Donate with Honda Canada to Help Make a Difference campaign is live and being shared on Honda Canada’s social networks, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #GiftOfJoy. Honda’s YouTube channel features the video, Donate with Honda to Help Make a Wish Come True.
“The holidays are a very special time for children. They all wish a little harder and dream a little bigger,” said Jennifer Ritter, president & CEO, Make-A-Wish Canada. “On behalf of everyone at Make-A-Wish, we’re so grateful to be receiving these donations. They will truly make a difference to each and every child involved with Make-A-Wish Canada.”
