GENUINE ACURA
EV PARTS
The core of Acura quality exists in every part of your vehicle. When you choose Genuine Acura Parts, you can count on the highest quality standards imposed by Acura engineers.
Many non-genuine parts may claim to be reliable, but they may not be produced to meet Acura’s engineering and material specifications. Compromise one part and you may unknowingly compromise a whole system.
Genuine Acura Parts are precisely designed and rigorously tested by Acura’s R&D team. By choosing Genuine Acura Parts, you’re also choosing not to risk compromising your vehicle's performance and safety.
Contact an Acura dealer when your vehicle needs repairs and ask that only Genuine Acura Parts are being used and installed by a factory-trained Acura technician.
Tires are the most ignored and underrated component of your vehicle. They are the only thing between your Acura and the road. Learn more about tires below and rest assured your Acura dealer will help ensure your Acura is always equipped with the optimum choice of tire for your driving needs.
Tire Types
In comparison to all-season tires, winter tires are engineered to stay flexible in temperatures below 7°C, helping to provide the necessary traction needed to reduce braking distance on cold, wet, icy, and snowy roads.
Best suited to use in temperatures above 7°C, all-season tires are designed to help provide traction and durability in a wide variety of seasonal road conditions.
A middle ground for more unpredictable climates, all-weather tires tend to perform better in winter conditions than all-season tires and better on summer roads than winter tires, but they don’t excel at either – especially for longer periods.
Extending Tire Life
Your specific driving habits and vehicle usage directly influence the rate and pattern of tread wear. Periodic rotation of tires is critical to maximizing their life.
Proper wheel balance helps prevent unnecessary wear to the tires, steering, and suspension components and also provides for a more enjoyable driving experience. Wheel balancing should be checked periodically when you change or rotate tires, and always be done when replacing tires, or when a tire has been removed from a wheel for any reason.
Increasing Driving Range
Under-inflation increases a tire’s rolling resistance, meaning more wear on the tire and more friction which leads to reduced driving range. Checking and maintaining tire pressure regularly will not only help extend tire life, but driving range as well.
Wheel misalignment increases the resistance of the tires to roll in the direction of the vehicle movement. The increased "drag" caused could reduce the available driving range.

It’s important to note that some Tire Manufacturers have designed EV-specific tires to handle the unique characteristics of an Electric Vehicle. When searching for replacement tires, ensure you are looking at EV-specific ones that were designed to handle:
To help maximize the tread and wear pattern of your tires ensure you rotate them according to the owner’s manual. If you opt to use winter tires, ensure you complete your tire changeover as the seasons change from summer to fall and winter to spring.

Pre-production model shown.Genuine Acura Brake Parts, designed by Acura engineers, specifically for your Acura’s braking system.
When you press your Acura’s brake pedal, the friction material on the brake pads is pushed against the brake discs to create friction which resists the rotation of the discs. Each time the brakes are used, a small amount of friction material, or “lining”, is worn off. Eventually, the thickness of the lining will diminish to the point where replacement is necessary. Exactly when this occurs depends on several factors including driving habits, vehicle usage, and frequency of brake maintenance. Regular inspection and servicing is required to keep your braking system in top working order.
Follow the maintenance requirements stated in your Acura Owner’s Manual. When brake pads or shoes require replacement, insist on Genuine Acura Parts to maintain the original performance and help keep your Acura as safe as it was crafted to be.
It’s important to note your ZDX still requires a 12V battery to power the vehicle’s electrical systems and start the main high-voltage battery pack. Time and use will gradually affect its ability to accept and hold a charge. Having your Acura dealer test the 12V battery and replace it if necessary helps prevent the inconvenience caused by an unexpectedly weak or dead battery.
Genuine Acura replacement batteries are manufactured to match your Acura’s electrical system specifications, are competitively priced, and are backed by a 60-month, unlimited mileage warranty. Conditions apply see dealer for details.
Being able to see clearly is critical when driving in rain and snow. This is why it is very important to check your Acura’s wiper blades for damage periodically and watch for signs that they are wearing out, like streaking or not clearing the glass efficiently.
The ZDX is equipped with an air filter to help remove dust, pollen, and debris from outside air that enters the passenger cabin through the heating and air conditioning system.
As the cabin air filter gets dirty, air flow in and out becomes restricted. Periodic replacement of the cabin air filter is specified in the Maintenance section of your Acura Owner’s Manual. More frequent replacement may be necessary if you often drive in dusty conditions.
Your ZDX still requires regular maintenance and fluid replacements. See your Acura dealer to inspect the vehicle’s fluids & functions. Your dealer will top up or replace the following fluids as directed by the Acura Owner’s Manual:
Regular maintenance on your Acura is important. Fluids, filter replacements, tire rotations, as well as any other maintenance described in your Acura Owner’s Manual are essential to help ensuring your vehicle remains safe and reliable and helps retain more of its resale value.
Bring in your Acura and get an MPI completed on your vehicle. During the MPI, a certified Acura technician will check for recalls and do an extensive inspection of the tires, brakes, under the hood, and the interior, exterior, and underside of your vehicle.
For added peace of mind, ask for a Multi-Point Inspection and take a moment to review this checklist with the service advisor at the dealership.
At Acura, we’re committed to your safety, which is why we’ve made it easy to find information about any vehicle recalls.
If you’re ever in an accident, insist that your insurance company authorizes only Genuine Acura Collision Parts, as they’re manufactured to Acura’s exact standards for fit, finish, and corrosion protection and are the only parts that are covered by our warranties.
