Keeping Maintenance on Schedule
Regular maintenance is the best way to help ensure your Acura continues running smoothly while keeping maintenance costs in check over the long run.
It’s a maintenance management system engineered to monitor certain aspects of your gas-powered Acura that alerts you when servicing, repair, or replacement is required. A tool that helps you maintain the health and longevity of your vehicle. To learn more about the Maintenance Minder™, click on the + below.
By using pressure sensors in the engine and calculating speed, temperature, and how long your vehicle operates under more severe conditions.
When the estimated remaining oil life reaches 15%, the system is designed to alert you on your dashboard with a “Service Due Soon (A)” message.
When the system senses that you need to change both oil and filter, it’s designed to alert you on your dashboard with a “Service Due Soon (0 or B)” message.
Other items due for replacement, service, or inspection may be displayed using additional codes (1-9), such as: tires, brakes, filters, spark plugs, and other fluids that can’t be directly monitored.
The system doesn’t have sensors to monitor engine oil level, but it is critical to your engine’s life, so be sure to check your oil level regularly – see owner’s manual for details.
Tire tread depth, brake pad/rotor, and battery life are not possible to monitor. Instead, Maintenance Minder™ recommends service/inspection intervals to reduce unexpected wear out. Your Acura Dealer may alert you during regular service when repair/replacement is necessary.
Maintenance Minder™ does not have sensors to accommodate or predict deterioration caused by things like heavy trailer towing or high dust/soot environments that may require additional filters or fluids maintenance. Your Acura dealership will complete a multi-point inspection to determine if filter or fluid replacement is required.
Maintenance Minder™ is for expected wear components and preventative maintenance only. Leaks, unresolved warning lights, or strange noises should be taken to your Acura Dealer for diagnosis and repair, regardless of Maintenance Minder™ status.

When a maintenance issue is detected, the Maintenance Minder™ system will display a maintenance code on the dashboard, indicating whether service, repair, or replacement is required.
Whether you’re going in to your local dealer for a routine Acura Maintenance Schedule visit or following a Maintenance Minder™ prompt, you’ll know you and your vehicle are in good hands. Because all Acura Technicians are factory-trained and only use genuine Acura parts.
Once maintenance is complete, your Acura Technician will reset your vehicle’s Maintenance Minder™ according to the type of service that was done. This allows the system to determine future maintenance items required on your next service visit.
